Welcome to the South Rheged Provincial website, within the Masonic Order of Athelstan.
We hope that this site will be of interest not just to members of our Province, but to those curious and inquisitive minds both within and beyond the boundaries of Freemasonry.
Our intention is that within these pages you will find information not only about our Province but also the history, origins and development of the Order.
The Masonic Order of Athelstan hopes to explain and enhance the understanding of the origins of Operative Masonry, and it’s relevance within both Craft and Royal Arch masonry, and interest in it is expanding both Nationally and Worldwide.

Our Province was formed in 2018 as a direct result of this expansion and it encapsulates a vibrant core of happy and friendly members from across the Counties of Lancashire and Cheshire.
